The two-storey building with a Thai outlook has been fitted with convenient, hi-tech household equipments. The interior decoration and the built-in furniture make use of dark-colored woods. The furniture selections, along with the scenery around the house, give a Thai-modern feel. The first focal point is the olive green floor-to-ceiling front door with flowery fretworks. The front court garden before the entrance also offers enchanting, fresh sound of running water, from the small fountains in the walls.
Inside the house, you’ll find a spacious open-plan hall, with a counter for food preparation at the front, linking to a kitchen, and a laundry at the back. Off to one side is a dinning suit, made of dark-colored woods. A partitioned living area is set further inside, with glass walls enabling an unobstructed view of the garden. It is no surprise if you cannot resist the temptation of opening the glass door out onto the wooden porch and a cozy pavilion by the pool, another private relaxing corner at the back of the house.
The house’s layout has borrowed many of the characteristics of a Thai house, while the inside uses simple decoration and structures, in tones of gray and white contrasted with dark wood. The placement and display of soft-furnishings and decorative items, particularly the scattered souvenirs of memorable journeys, and eye-catching artworks in bright green, orange or even red, all contribute to this successful blend of Thai and contempolary style.
