"I don’t want cement all over the house because it will look too stiff," says Mr. Surasak, the house owner. "So I place numerous natural materials here and there, in order to soften it up and create a warm atmosphere. We feel that we live so close to the nature," He changed some outer features of the house to merge smoothly with the tropical garden. As for the interior decoration, he adopted his favorite oriental style and adjusted things with suitability and his needs in mind.
The concept ‘Oriental warmth’ is the challenge that faced the interior designer who worked on the house. He eventually emphasized a simple style with homey earth-tone colors. Most furniture and decorative items are of oriental design, which blend perfectly with other contempolary pieces.
The functiob of this 160 square-meter space is divided continually to make all of the areas harmoniously linked together. The family’s shared areas on the lower floor have an open view of one another, but are separated by different styles of decoration and furnishing items.
